We all are continuous work-in-progress

Nobody is perfect. Nobody can be perfect. We all are continuous work-in-progress. This means we should be comfortable accepting that mistakes are bound to happen but we must learn from them and keep striving to improve ourselves. We always have a chance to become better than someone or something that we already are. If our intentions are pure and we are putting in efforts to keep getting better at it, all is good.

The problem arises when we strive for perfection and not continuous improvement. That’s when we start putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves without realizing that perfection is a myth. If you think you are perfect, you will stop making efforts to improve yourself and that’s when you will start stagnating. You will lock yourself as the same person you are for the rest of your life and that is scary. Maybe you think you are absolutely fine the way you are right now but what will happen as time passes and you have new experiences in life, you gain more perspective, and your environment changes? Would you be happy being the same person as you are today? Absolutely not. In fact, you will automatically change with time. Now that change can be positive or negative. But if you will be conscious of things, you will try to bring in only positive changes in yourself and become a better, improved person. And therefore, a work-in-progress.

Embrace your mistakes, learn from them, be conscious of changes around & in you, gain new experiences, try to adopt positive perspectives, and be a very proud work-in-progress.
